‘Picking up the Pieces’ mosaic exhibition goes live in the Kitchen Gallery

The Kitchen Gallery is thrilled to reveal our very latest exhibition, bursting with colour and creativity from the talented South West Mosaic Artists.

Running until 24 July 2022 ‘Picking up The Pieces’ is an exhibition featuring the work of a number of mosaic artists based in the South West. The pieces on display will share examples of this fascinating artform which includes a variety of styles and materials, including glass, ceramic, recycled china, found objects and more.

Marissa Wakefield, Cockington Court Director said: “Contemporary mosaic art is a real delight to be able to share with our visitors. As a centre of creativity, we are here to showcase art of all mediums, and mosaics are exciting as these can be created using recycled and found objects. The group held their very first and highly successful exhibition at Cockington Court in 2020, and it is a pleasure to welcome the group back to Cockington Court in 2022.”

Everyone is invited to visit the exhibition. Amongst the artists included is Janet Ventre a maker based here in our Sea Change studios at Cockington Court. Janet creates beautiful works to exhibit and sell.

Regional featured artists exhibiting alongside Janet also include: Pam Wilcox (Stoke Gabriel), Michelle Greenwood-Brown (Teignmouth), Corinna Barell (nr. Loddiswell), Audrey Hardman (Exmouth), Alison Hepburn (Topsham), Terry & Julie (Exeter), Manya McMahon (Exmouth), Allan Punton (Exmouth), Kate Rattray (Liverton), Ali Soper (South Hams), Adela Webb (Bideford), Emma Abel (Salisbury), Ruth Coram (Wells), Denny Dormer (Starcross) and Alison Nash (Dorset).
