Flora Whispers Exhibition

We’re embracing the arrival of spring at Cockington Court with our upcoming exhibition, Flora Whispers.
Join us for an uplifting exhibition inspired by the parkland around us. Our Flora Whispers exhibition will showcase a curated display of work from local artists and makers – all inspired by the flora found within Cockington Country Park.
The exhibition will run from Sunday 1 March to Monday 4 May in our gallery, and will be curated by our Director, Marissa Wakefield. The gallery is open from 10.30am to 5pm daily and more information about the exhibition will be available nearer the time.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Could you feature artwork in our exhibition?
Could you create new work for our upcoming exhibition ‘Flora Whispers’ – inspired by the flora found in the parkland here on the estate?
We are looking for imaginative, explorative and experimental work, that shows the artist/ maker has studied and personally explored the environment and flora of the parkland closely.
The work must be for sale and can be any medium from textiles to ceramics, painting, printmaking, glass, jewellery, installation, sculpture and others. Digital work is welcomed, but must be detailed, experimental and exploratory in style.
Please email images or sketches with your written statement /proposals for the exhibition to our Director, Marissa Wakefield, at Marissa.Wakefield@torbay.gov.uk for work to be considered.
Please note, those successful will need to deliver their work on Sunday 22 or Monday23 February and collect and unsold work after Tuesday 5 May.
